Director of Engineering at Vestorly
Computer Software | Greater New York City Area, US
I'm an entrepreneur, developer, manager, technologist and strategist. I'm passionate about electronic media, elegant software architecture, financial success, and smart execution of business strategy. My experience includes management, business development, software development, finance, and venture capital roles at media and technology companies.
I'm currently Director of Engineering at Vestorly, a high-end content marketing platform. Previously, I co-founded Love Crossing, an online matchmaking website that let users help their friends find true love.
I spent four years at IBM, first as a Senior Financial Analyst in Business Development / M&A, Treasury, and Financial Planning. I then moved into a worldwide pricing strategy role, setting competitive strategies and training sales representatives on competitive stances and reactions.
Earlier in my career, I ran an independent record label that focused on gospel and folk music. Highlights included a Grammy win for Gladys Knight's "One Voice" album, and rapid growth in both sales and profitability before my departure in 2007.
Other companies include the Wayne Brown Institute, one of the country's first VC accelerators, Whizbang! Labs, an early innovator of artificial intelligence for big data, Novell, a networking solutions company, and the digital group at Disney/ABC.
I'm the current President of the Yale School of Management Alumni Association NYC chapter, and am active in both the business and developer communities in NYC.
